about

"This is what would've happened if Philip Glass had ripped up his Fulbright scholarship at the kitchen table and said "Screw you Mom, I'm gonna start a garage band"". (Demon Pigeon)

Four piece instrumental noiseniks The Fierce & The Dead formed in 2010 for a one off recording project that turned into two albums, an e.p , a nineteen minute long single and live shows all over the U.K. This track 'Spooky Action' was taken from the album of the same name which was described by Rock-A-Rolla magazine as, “..post-hardcore bass tone; pulsing motorik drums; chiming, interlocking guitars somewhere between Afrobeat and Robert Fripp (and) shockingly brutal bursts of math-metal". The band, nominated for a Prog Award in 2013, have built up a reputation for frenetic live shows mixing intelligent rock music with garage band energy. Loud and not afraid to stand out The Fierce & The Dead are coming for you.
